Food Carts of Portland Bike Tour
Portland, United States
This 3½-hour bike tour begins at Around Portland Tours’ meeting point (833 SE Main Street), where you’ll be fitted with a bicycle and helmet before setting off. You’ll travel 8–12 miles through Eastside and inner neighborhoods, stopping at food cart “pods” to taste a range of snacks and dishes — from breakfast bites to savory meals to sweet treats. The focus is on locally owned carts and the stories behind them: how the food cart scene evolved, how makers collaborate, and how unique flavors emerge in Portland.
You’ll ride through neighborhoods like Ladd’s Addition and Hawthorne, passing Mt. Tabor and pausing at Cartopia (one of Portland’s pioneering food cart pods). Along the way, guides weave together the city’s culinary and community history, offering more than just taste - you’ll gain a sense of place through food, movement, and conversation. The group sizes are kept small to maintain intimacy.
