Hike & Bike Tour of the Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls
Portland (Oregon), United States
Meet in Portland and board an air-conditioned vehicle for the drive into the Columbia River Gorge. Once you arrive, your tour splits into active segments: you’ll cycle via provided bikes (and helmets) along the historic highway or scenic paths, make stops near up to three waterfalls, then dismount for short hikes through moss-covered forest to vantage points or the base of falls.
Typical waterfalls included are Latourell Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Multnomah Falls. You’ll hear rich natural and historical insights from your guide - about the geology of the Gorge, its creation by the river, its plant life, and Indigenous heritage.
Biking distances are moderate (approx 5-8 miles depending on route) and hikes are gentle-to-moderate (~2 miles) making this experience accessible for many.
