Private 4-Hour Tour: Acadia’s Fjord, Gardens & Historic Mansions

This private, half-day tour offers a curated journey across Acadia National Park’s most compelling landscapes, historic estates, and garden enclaves. You’ll depart from Bar Harbor (or your lodging) in an air-conditioned vehicle with a local guide, who handles all logistics and tells stories about the land as you drive the 27-mile Park Loop Road.

Expect stops (or pass-bys) at Cadillac Mountain for panoramic views, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and the Wild Gardens of Acadia / Sieur de Monts. Beyond the park boundary, the tour pushes into Somes Sound - a fjord cutting deeply into Mount Desert Island - and explores the elegant “summer” mansions and gardens of Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, and the Asticou Gardens. You’ll witness glacially carved coastline, pink granite cliffs, hand-hewn stone bridges, lush gardens, and sweeping water vistas.
