Albuquerque Sandia Snowshoe & Tram Adventure

Your adventure begins with a ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway, lifting you from Albuquerque to over 10,000 feet where crisp mountain air and panoramic views await. At the summit, a naturalist guide leads you on a snowshoe trek through alpine trails blanketed in snow, revealing quiet forests, ridge lines, and sweeping vistas of the Rio Grande Valley below.

During the approximately 4- to 4.5-hour experience, you’ll be outfitted with snowshoes, poles, and snow gaiters; along the route enjoy interpretive commentary about local ecology, geology, and seasonal wildlife. Midway, warm up with hot cocoa and snacks while taking in the winter peace. The tour returns you to the tram base, bringing you down from the mountain with that same scenic lift. All tram tickets, gear, and refreshments are included.
