Forest Hike to Twin Falls & Snoqualmie Falls
Seattle, United States
Meet outside 415 Pine St, Seattle, then board an air-conditioned vehicle for a comfortable drive into the Cascades foothills.
Your first stop is a two-hour guided hike through the old-growth forest of Ollalie State Park (or similar area) where you’ll traverse moss-covered trees, fern-filled understory, and the peaceful sounds of the forest.
Following the forest walk, the tour proceeds to the dramatic Snoqualmie Falls - where you’ll have time to view and photograph the 270-foot waterfall, learn about its geology and cultural significance, and enjoy the surrounding viewpoint.
Throughout the experience, the guide shares stories of the region’s natural ecosystem, the native Snoqualmie people, logging-town history and the way the waterfalls have shaped the landscape.
Return transportation to Seattle is provided; bottled water is included and the walking trail is moderate in difficulty (participants should be comfortable with some elevation change and uneven surfaces).
