One-Way → Hiram M. Chittenden Locks Cruise: Lake Union ↔ Elliott Bay
Seattle, United States
Choose your departure point:
-From AGC Marina on South Lake Union (freshwater) and finish at Pier 54 on Seattle’s waterfront (saltwater), or
-Vice versa.
Board 30 minutes prior to departure. Onboard you’ll enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating, access to restrooms, live commentary about Seattle’s marine infrastructure, houseboat communities, seaplane activity, and the engineering of the Ballard Locks.
As you transit from Lake Union into the locks, you’ll experience the boat being raised or lowered ~20 feet via the lock system - a fun “boat elevator” moment.
Once in Puget Sound / Elliott Bay you’ll glide along the downtown skyline, glimpse the Olympic Mountains (and on clear days Mount Rainier), and get a unique vantage of Seattle’s waterfront neighborhoods.
This one-way format offers the flexibility to disembark at a different location from the start, prompting you to continue exploring on foot, transit, or via a seasonal return bus option.
