Seattle Half-Day Whale Watching Tour
Seattle, United States
Board at the FRS Clipper terminal on Seattle’s waterfront (2701 Alaskan Way) about 45 minutes prior to departure.
During the voyage you’re guided by an onboard naturalist who shares insights into the marine ecosystem of the Salish Sea, informs you about whale behavior, migration patterns, and other marine wildlife you may encounter (seals, sea-birds, possibly dolphins or porpoises).
You’ll spend several hours at sea - watching, waiting, listening - so dress in layers (it can be cooler and windier on the water). Depending on the season and luck, you may spot gray whales, humpbacks or other marine megafauna. The tour finishes back at Pier 69.
Because you’re out on the water, the pace leans toward nature observation rather than fast-moving sightseeing: time for reflection, fresh air, expansive views, and a sense of the wild beyond the city.
